Complex cases in dental implantology

Severe bone loss, previous failures, extensive reconstructions, full-arch rehabilitation: a practice dedicated to situations beyond the usual scope of implant dentistry.

What is a complex case?

  • severe bone loss — major atrophy of the upper or lower jaw;
  • previous implant failures — lost implants, peri-implantitis;
  • need for bone grafting or reconstruction;
  • full-arch rehabilitation on unfavourable anatomy;
  • subperiosteal / custom implants — custom-made devices considered when indicated;
  • complex oral surgery — impacted teeth, cysts, associated procedures.

A structured approach

Every complex case is assessed with 3D imaging, an analysis of the overall prosthetic project and, where appropriate, digital planning. When justified, procedures are performed under general anesthesia in the operating theatre of the Clinique du Parc in Lyon.

Referring practitioners

Dr Chambas welcomes patients referred by their dentists for assessment, pre-implant grafting, complex implant surgery or shared care. Referring practitioners remain at the centre of their patient's care, with systematic reports after each step. To refer a patient, call the office at 04 72 44 87 01.

Patients: a second opinion is always possible

If you have been told that implants are impossible in your situation — insufficient bone, previous failures — an assessment consultation with 3D imaging will clarify the options actually available, with no commitment. International patients are welcome.
